Water Buffalo Bone Comb

Categories: ,

Combs are one of the oldest tools mankind knows. In medieval times they were used for human hair and also to prepare wool and other natural fibres for spinning and felting. Our reconstruction of an early Viking Comb is handmade from genuine animal bones.
Centred is a loop, so that a leather strap can be attached. The comb is strengthened at the ridge by riveted straps. But nevertheless it’s necessary to handle the fragile material with care.
